SFIN 2.0- Profit center planning without IBP

Hi Guys,

I want to perform profit center planning in the Sfin 2.0, I do not intend to use integrated business planning for now.

I want to know how to proceed for this.

 

Some questions which I have are:-

1) As first step to have Profit center planning in new GL is to have "Install the summary table - T Code GLPLINST (Table FAGLFLEXT)"

But FAGLFLEXT is replaced now, so if I run this step what will be effect.

Since this is a view can I still use it for profit center planning as in New GL?


2) Is there some other summary table like ACDOCA which I should use now?


3) There is also a planning option in the NWBC - SFin:Planning -> Profit center planning period / year. Can I use these, if yes what is their relevant tcode in ECC


4) What is general SAP advise in this scenario and if using normal FICO planning vs IBP planning should we go for.


Any help in this direction will be useful.

SAP S/4HANA-on premise edition-1511- Dump in Credit Management

Hi

 

While maintaining the Credit limit of customer in S/4HANA-on premise edition-1511- under "FSCM", System is giving Dump in Credit Management while clickin on "Credit Segment Data" tab.

 

BP Role-UKM000-SAP Credit Managment

For maintained, I used customer BP role- FLCU01 (New customer) & FLCU00 (FI CUSTOMER).

 

I have done all the relevant configuration for credit management. Pls suggest , whether I have missed out any configuration.

Configuration SAP Note used by me:0000634527

 

In debug it shows-memory Id : DX_WORKBENCH

Hana Composite Provider

Hi ,

 

System Details: SFIN box in HANA Studio

 

Can we create Hana Composite Provider on top of standard Hana view which pulls data from ACDOCA table.

Please suggest as we need to create reconciliation report without extracting data to any other system.

CO-PA S/4 Finances - Profitabity analysis from IS-Retail

Hello

The goal of my customer is to analyse profitabilty of articles sold with IS-Retail.

We plan that billing data will be stored into CAR software and compressed at the level POS / Articles / Day.

And then uploaded into CO-PA based on S/4 Finances.

The estimated volume of data is  around 450.000 lines per day.

I found the SAP Note 361896 about POS-DM and CO-PA performance, but I have no idea of the records limitation.

I'm looking for a recommandation about this scenario with S/4 Finances.

Could you suggest me an idea of scenario to analyse profitability by articles from IS-Retail ?

How to create Customer /Vendor master with Sales org/Purchase org views in S4/HANA 1511 as Business partners

Dear Friends,

   I have  been trying to create Customer/Vendor master data in S/4 HANA1511, which mandates Business partner creation as against 1503 version, However I could succeed in creating new roles for BP by copying standard BP roles  and role categories but the issue I am facing is to create these BP with Sales org /purcahse org views for which the fields attributes per role is not available

  The standard txns XD01/2/3, FD01/2/3.XK01/2/3, VD01/2/3 have become redundant in 1511 and its automatically redirects to txn BP, there aren't any documents available for 1511 which outlines the BP creation specific with sales area/Purchorg views..

The number ranging is also not very clear although I tried some ways to find out how to assign custom number ranges for custom roles created using  the master data synchroniztion for customer /vendor intergration in cross application components..

I am not sure whether I am following the right approach ... Any body worked on a green field implementation in 1511 please throw some light into this concepts .

Simple Finance - Approving House Bank Request

Hi all,

 

We want to create a house bank account in Sfin. But we can save it only as a request. At the "Manage Bank Accounts" screen when I click the "New Bank Account" button it appears "Save and Submit" button instead of "Save as Active".


When I click the "Save and Submit" button the bank acoount that I am trying to create has been saving as a request needs to be approved. My questions are: How can I put "Save as Active" button on my screen? Or how can I approve the requests that I've created?


By the way I am using SAP_FI_BL_BANK_MASTER_DATA to reach to "Bank Acoounts" menu.

What is the Tcode to use in End (Finance) user Perspective, to list all the profit Centers assigned to a company code.

 

Checked quite few KE56, KCH5N..not found suitable.  Anything else.

Manage bank accounts web dynpro in s/4Hana is not opening in NWBC

Hi All

 

We have installed a new S/4HANA on premise edition and going with NWBC without Fiori apps.

 

To investigate the creation of Bank Accounts, i have assigned the required role:SAP_SFIN_CASH_MANAGER and activated below services from SICF:

 

WDA_FCLM_BAM_HIERARCHY

 

and few other services WDA_FCLM_BAM* are activated.

 

But once the webdynpro is launched, i get to see the below blank screen:

 

 

 

 

like LPD_CUST settings if so please let me know in detail.Untitled.png

 

can you please advise if i am missing with any other settings

New Asset accouting in S4 Hana

Dear Friends,

    Please calrify the following "To use this solution New AA, prerequisite is the use New GL Accounting with Ledger Approach. Prior

to New Asset Accounting",

  I am on Classic GL with Accounts approach and planning to migrate to Simple finance which will land me in tecnical new gl after completing all prerequsites/ migration/post migration activities along with migration of classic AA.....Is it enough for me to use New AA ? or prior to that I need to first migrate to New gl in Ecc 6.0?

Please clarify this part of using new AA while migrating from classic GL to S4 GL (I dont need any functionalities of new gl presently)

New Asset Accounting

Hi Experts,

 

S/4 HANA Finance is installed (1511) in our system and we have set up parallel currencies in General Ledger Accounting - Local Currency INR,Controlling Area currency USD and Group Currency EUR.The General Ledger and Asset Accounting currency should be in sync in Ledger approach hence,we have created depreciation areas for both leading and non-leading ledgers for both the currencies- INR and EUR.

 

However, while processing AUC for WBS elements ,system throws  error that "AUC requires area in the Controlling Area currency USD". Error screenshot is below :-

 

After creating depreciation area for controlling currency in t codes OADB,OABC and OABD, while saving the configuration for controlling area currency in the configuration " Specify the Use of Parallel Currencies" , system does not allow to save data and throws error that "Controlling Area currency is not defined in Financial Accounting".

 

Do we need to define depreciation area for controlling area currency also though it is mandatory to keep only General Ledger and Asset Accounting currencies in sync in ledger approach ?

Or

If it is mandatory to define depreciation area for controlling area currency then is there any configuration which is missed out that has lead to error "Controlling Area currency is not defined in Financial Accounting" ?

 

Please suggest.

New Bank Account NWBC screen is not opening/responding in s/4HANA

Hi Guys

 

 

While launching the webdynpro: manage bank accounts(WDA_FCLM_BAM_HIERARCHY) which is successful.

 

 

 

When i am trying to click on New Bank Account --> this is not opening a window.

 

 

 

I have the following roles assigned in the system:

 

 

 

SAP_SFIN_CASH_MANAGER

SAP_FI_BL_BANK_STATEMENT

SAP_FI_BL_BANK_STATEMENT_EXT

SAP_FI_BL_BANK_MASTER_DATA

 

can you please suggest what am i missing here?

Revenue Accounting and Reporting; Transaction Price

Greetings

 

We are implementing S4HANA, and we are customizing revenue accounting 1.1; We have already done Revenue contracts and POBs, but all of them have had "transaction price" in Zero; the condition type that we are using is “PR00” (Customizing “Define Condition Types for Standalone Selling Price and …”) and in the transaction VK11 we have created stand-alone prices for this, but I still having the issue.

 

We have created the 3 application that the help configuration says in BRF+, also we have filled the decision table "DT_PROCESS_POB" and the POB Type, with the field "Excl. from Alloc." with value "X" because we need that the invoice price and the contract price will be the same. There is not much information about how create rules in BRF+, but at this time, only at the price determination we have had problems; We need resolve this issue for follow with the account determination and review the posting.

 

Your help for know what we are missing for get the price of the invoice in the contract price or transaction Price.

OXK3 - Coding Block - Add fields to BSEG (Expert Mode)

Hello,

 

I added two customer fields in OXK3 - Coding block using Basic Mode. It added in CL_COBL, ACDOCA, CL_COBL_BI, FB50. FB01, FB60 etc structures, transaction and tables but it didnt added the customer fields in BSEG table.

Then I was looking to use Expert Mode in OXK3 to add customer fields but in Expert Mode - Add fields to BSEG is greyed out. I couldn't use Expert Mode for adding customer fields to BSEG. We need to have customer fields appended to BSEG also like other structures as it is required for SAP standard reporting as reporting data comes from BSEG.


Can anyone please help, why in Expert mode - Add fields to BSEG is greyed out? Or why in basis mode, new customer fields where not added in BSEG?

 

We are on Simple Finance, SAP suite on HANA.

Local currencies for company code  cannot be completely determined"

 

I have checked settings for ledger and company codes I have assigned hard currency and index based currencies. I have also maintained the rates in ob08.

Transfer of Purchase Order History

Hi,

 

We have a transactional data migration object called 'GRNI' which will be the open Goods Receipts for which we have no purchase invoices posted, unmatched Goods Receipts and Invoices, partly delivered purchase orders etc.

 

I have been advised that there is a program RM06EEI1 which supports this activity however I have never used it. Unfortunately I do not have a template upload file.

 

I need to understand how this program works and what the implications are for open items when doing the data migration for GL and also what does it mean for the PO load if anything at all e.g. do all the open POs need to be loaded first etc

 

From the initial screen I think it will update the GR/IR account and then post the opposite side to a data takeon account in the balance sheet. When we load the trial balance, the amount from the legacy TB that we are loading for GRNI will be posted against this takeon account.

Financial Closing Cockpit with S/4 HANA Finance

Hi Experts,

 

Does anyone know if Financial Closing Cockpit funcionality works with S/4 HANA Finance? Is it compatible?

 

SAP isn't clear about this. I only found one document from SAP that mentions "Closing cockpit functionality is no longer maintained with SAP S/4HANA. Closing operations functionality can still be used", but they don't mention what is the funcionality equivalent available.

 

If so, how can i manage the following tasks with S/4 HANA Finance (without FCC):

  • Maintain period end closing tasks list;
  • Perform closing tasks from task list;
  • Monitorize which tasks are already done and which are delayed;
  • ...

Standard extractors in S/4 HANA Finance

Hello Experts ,

 

I have SAP analytics background and recently have started studying S/4 HANA Finance. I have a question here regarding standard extractors in S/4 HANA. We know that , there are different standard extractors in classic finance application like 0FI_GL_X which are based on BKPF and BSEG. Now as I can understand , with S/4 HANA , multiple tables are clubbed in a single long table named ACDOCA. So how BI is going to extract data from S/4 HANA especially Finance.

 

Similar question may occur with S/4 HANA logistics where we use 2LIS* data sources.

 

Looking for some guidance on how SAP BI will be positioned with the rise of S/4 HANA ( As S/4 HANA is supposed to be very fast and hence reporting directly on S/4 HANA tables is possible )

Reasons to switch from SAP ECC to SAP Simple Finance

Hi All,

 

As we all know that deploying SAP Simple Finance is a costly activity, so from the customer point of view could any one specify convincing reasons on why customers should transform from SAP ECC to Simple Finance.

 

Below are some of the reasons which I know, but they aren't convincing to change the mindset of customers.

 

1. Reduced redundancy, aggregations- Leading to increase in speed.

 

Customer's view: Why should I change to Simple finance just for increasing the speed of my routine activities. Decrease in the speed by some minutes is not what we expect for.

 

2. Faster Period end closing activities - Fast close

 

Customer's view: This also isn't that appealing for us as, usually any closing program would take some hours for execution and with simple finance it has just got done to few minutes or seconds. So, only for reducing the time required for period end closing or improving some performance measures we would not like to do such a costly transformation.

 

3. SAP FIORI- Simplified user experience

 

Customer's view: We are happy to work on our existing device from office.Just to make SAP available on all employee devices we would not do the transformation.

 

4. New Asset Accounting/new posting logic to post to different ledgers:

 

Customer's view: In standard ECC we are happy with using the delta areas and we are also able to post to all the ledgers as expected. So, why would we want to transform to simple finance just for new posting logic.

 

So, as you see as the above reasons aren't that convincing to change mind of customers to do the transformation to Simple Finance. So, could any one guide me or give some strong reasons ( some examples like some reports which really are a big change in Simple Finance) which would help me in presenting Simple finance in a better way.

 

Also, could any one let me know how much time should we say to customer to finish the complete migration to Simple Finance.

As of now I know there are 3 different options:

 

1. Upgrade and Migrate (all instances)


2. Upgrade, Migrate and Consolidate (reduce number of instances)


3. Replicate into a Central Finance (and optionally reduce number of instances over the time)

 


Which is the best option?


Which option you worked for? Pros and Cons for the method your adopted.


What are the sequential steps taken the option you worked for?


How long it took and how much was the downtime before production go-live?
